"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some people have entertained angels without knowing it" Hebrews 13:2
Now call my view of angels clearly skewed by hollywood, but I think if I had someone over for dinner my first suspicions that they may be angel would be the rather large pair of wings protruding from the angel's back.
Another more biblical description of an angel from the book of Daniel
"His body was like chrysolite, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude" Daniel 10:6
I'm pretty confident that someone who had a "face like lightning" would stand out a little bit at the dinner table.
Does anyone else find that bit of Hebrews a little confusing or does someone have an explanation? or better yet has anyone had an angel over for dinner? _________________ "We shall have all eternity in which to celebrate our victories, but we have only one swift hour before the sunset in which to win them."

I've entertained/been entertained by lotsa people named after characters in the Bible, and some with names shared with past and present day royalty, as well as true and likely descendants of such. A number of them I would say are nothing short of being extraordinary people, and there have been amazing revelations, and visions* Eg. Myself and a friend once saw** 7 crows on Lazarus' tombstone in Karrakatta cemetary. (7=holy number, there were no crows on the surrounding tombstones).
*dreams/flashes/etc (as seen with the 3rd-or-minds'-eye).
**with my/our own two eyes - an omen/phenomenon.
I wonder sometimes why I call myself an atheist. |

| Sorry about that - I'm a tad eccentric.. and I don't always know what to believe, all I can say is that people see some amazing phenomena in life, again my sincerest apologies if you didn't know quite how to take the previous post. |
