False preachers

Hi Everyone!

I've been doing some research online and am amazed to find that everyoen from Joyce Meyer to TD Jakes to Billy Graham is described as a false teacher sent to lead the faithful astray. I'm getting a bit confused because Joyce's books and sermons have really helped me get a better relationship with God (I have never used a TD Jakes resource although I do know the name). On the one hand there has always been the warning of false prophets but on the other hand, who do we believe? A great deal of the controversy surrounding the preachers I've mentioned (and many others) is that their teaching isn't Bible-based, or it focuses too much on prosperity or they're too rich to be Christian (ok, the last one is funny but I had to throw it in anyway). Does anyone else have anything to say about this? How will we know that we are not cleverly being led astray because after all, the devil knows the Word better than we do most of the time (though not better than we should) and can easily twist it and pollute it without our realising it.... Any feedback would be most appreciated.

GOD sent us the HOLY SPIRIT because HE knew that false prophets would arise. You can have confidence in HIM" HOLY SPIRIT" to guide you, we can be confident because unlike the devil who does not have the HOLY SPIRIT we do.
Fortunately the person who said they are false prophets has exposed themselves by saying that they are too rich to be christians, no where in the bible does it say that being rich is a sin and indeed GOD has blessed many people with riches all throughout HIS WORD.
Continue seeking a closer relationship with your HEAVENLY FATHER and as you grow in your relationship you will come to know more and more clearly "who is telling the truth and who is not".
People from Joyce Meyer to Billy Graham are true christians and since Joyce Meyer has helped you to grow in your relationship with GOD that can give you confidence, because satan will never seek to bring you closer to GOD.
